Only Stupid Guys Drink Coors, Apparently
Thank you, Coors beer, for confirming my intelligence, and by extension, the superior intelligence of the women I hang out with.
I Was Considering SaskTel For Service Provider, But...
In it, the older male of the household is portrayed as a buffoon because he did not subscribe to SaskTel Internet. His wife is utterly condescending. The teenage son is disappointed because of his lack of success playing online games, but his stupid father is the one outside cleaning the driveway.
Is it SaskTel's corporate opinion that men with partners and families are essentially stupid man slaves?

Proctor and Gamble gets the prize for Disgusting Father Hating Ads, and I'm not buying Duracell anymore
They really do win the Gold (or should it be Lead?) for the hatred of fathers, and the denial of the role that fathers have in the development and support of their children as athletes. To watch and listen to the ads, only mothers support athletes of Olympic standard; men (fathers) don't count at all. To Proctor and Gamble, only mothers are important; fathers don't exist.
In a way, I can hardly blame the women and athletes for bowing and scraping to these father haters. I should include all the emasculated fathers for going along with it too. Getting to the Olympics is expensive, so I guess they need the money. They need it so badly that it is worth it to spit publicly on their fathers, and for the fathers, to castrate themselves. I should include the male athletes in that self-castration category. I hope they realize they will be tossed on the trash heap of the worthless male once their Olympic career is over, and they morph into the deadbeats that their fathers are.
As for the Olympic Committee, don't expect them to do anything. They have no principles except those that fill their own pockets.
The world is outraged, and rightly so, about the Russian anti-gay legislation. But there is only silence when a huge corporation tells men and fathers that they don't exist, don't matter, don't support, don't care.
This post may be a little late in the game, but, the next time I need batteries, I'm not buying Duracell, nor will I buy any other product I can identify as Proctor and Gamble.

Alec Baldwin - Victim or Perpetrator?
Should he have said what he did? No. Was it impetuous, ill-considered, imprudent? Yes. Does he regret it? Apparently so. Was it preventable? It was, it most certainly was.
Mr. Baldwin's outburst would most likely have never occurred if the courts would take access orders as seriously as they should be. What happened was the result of a mother being allowed to treat court ordered access as optional. Such behaviour is nothing more than contempt of court and psychological abuse of a former spouse, with the weapon of choice being the child. That judges are willing accomplices to such behaviour is very disturbing.
Mr. Baldwin made a stupid mistake. Ms. Bassinger, her associates, and the courts in particular, are guilty of far worse.

More Humour from Dairy Queen
It's not that I don't find these ads humourous, although perhaps I shouldn't. What bothers me is that we were never shown a DQ commercial in which a little girl kicks her mother in the crotch for not sharing, and I have yet to see the one in which a wife's concerns are dismissed when she finds her husband enjoying a DQ product while in the arms of a half-naked swimsuit babe.
Now ads like that would be really funny.
Or would they?
Let DQ know what you think here.

If you don't like the rules, don't play!
Close results often result in recounts, regardless of where or when they occur. This should not be a surprise for anyone who plays party politics. If it is, you don't belong in the game.
If there is a challenge to the vote, let's get on with the process and get the facts. If there were irregularities, call a new election for that riding. If there weren't, then Merasty won, fair and square (or at least, according to the rules). If Merasty won by being better at playing by the rules, then good for you, Mr. Merasty! ( and everybody else go home and, do it better next time...)
This is NOT an race issue, and I really hope people on differing sides choose to keep it that way.
We all have a stake in ensuring that the electoral process has been properly followed.

Fathers for Justice UK in questionable circumstances
Fathers for Justice founder Matt O'Connor has decided to suspend the operations of the group following police allegations that certain individuals associated with it were plotting the kidnapping of Prime Minister Tony Blair's son, Leo.
As with any organization that grows too rapidly Fathers for Justice had begun experiencing internal problems.
There are some who believe the police allegations might be nothing but pure fabrication designed to discredit a group seeking a change to the unjust laws of Britain's secret family courts. - Telegraph Editorial
No one has been charged.
Police have suggested they will shoot fathers who demonstrate.
