Alec Baldwin - Victim or Perpetrator?

There was certainly enough being said and written a few weeks ago about Alec Baldwin and the recorded comments he made to his daughter. Here is my two cents worth...

Should he have said what he did? No. Was it impetuous, ill-considered, imprudent? Yes. Does he regret it? Apparently so. Was it preventable? It was, it most certainly was.

Mr. Baldwin's outburst would most likely have never occurred if the courts would take access orders as seriously as they should be. What happened was the result of a mother being allowed to treat court ordered access as optional. Such behaviour is nothing more than contempt of court and psychological abuse of a former spouse, with the weapon of choice being the child. That judges are willing accomplices to such behaviour is very disturbing.

Mr. Baldwin made a stupid mistake. Ms. Bassinger, her associates, and the courts in particular, are guilty of far worse.
